Engagement photography session for Elaine and Turner in downtown Charleston, South Carolina with Leica M240 and Sony a7ii

Elaine and Turner

Love is in the air – as we witnessed a proposal during the beginning of our session. We roamed the alleyways, parks and side streets of beautiful and historic Charleston, SC; celebrating Elaine and Turner’s engagement. These pictures were made at some of my favorite spots downtown.

Sailing in Sausalito

Imagine leaving Charleston, SC before dawn and landing in San Francisco at 10am PST. Sounds easy enough right (just add caffeine)? Well then imagine being on a sailboat in Sausalito by 2pm PST, camera in tow and braving the bay – camera hanging off the side of the boat. I love to make pictures for amazing people (aka living the dream). Here’s to a blessed 2015!

Natalie & Will

Here are just a couple of my favorites from last week’s engagement session. We had a fantastic time together, making some memorable engagement pictures on UGA’s North Campus, a little bit of downtown Athens, and then finally at Mama’s Boy. Sadly they weren’t open during our photo-shoot, so I made sure to pay them a visit the next morning. Athens is always a treat to photograph, especially at this time of year.

Kimberly & Kevin

I love the simplicity of these images. Yet within the simplicity of this engagement session, there is a sense of calm, masculinity and love that shines through. These are just a few of my favorite images. View the rest of the session here.

Love by the Savannah River

Lindsey & Justin

I feel very blessed to have great clients like Lindsey & Justin. Their love for each other is a darling thing to witness. We had the best time making pictures for their engagement on the Savannah River; capturing their beautiful smiles and lovely personality. These are just a couple of my favorite images from their engagement session. Enjoy!

Nerd/gear alert: most of these images are straight out of camera. The color from the Leica M9 is absolutely wonderful. As with any camera, the more you shoot it, the better it gets. There is something about how the reds, blues and greens are so rich looking. Much better than my DSLR.
